The mid-career education landscape has exploded. Certificates, bootcamps, executive education, intensive cohorts, employer-funded programs, and AI-personalized learning paths are all competing for the same time, money, and attention — and for mid-career professionals trying to decide where to invest, the choice has never been more confusing.
A decade ago, "should I go back to school?" had a small handful of answers. Today, the landscape includes numerous credible paths and even more that are pretending to be. Some of what's out there is genuinely valuable. Some of it is expensive noise. Telling the difference from the outside is genuinely hard — especially when the pitch decks are polished and everyone claims to be "the future of learning."
This session pulls together voices from across the ecosystem: a university faculty member speaking to the formal continuing-ed perspective, an HR leader who decides what their organization will fund, and a mid-career professional currently navigating a non-traditional learning path. Together, they'll offer a candid look at what's working, what's not, and how mid-career professionals should think about where to invest in a market that isn't going to simplify itself anytime soon.
