LLM Research Paper Topics Brainstorming
A small-group session for engineers and entrepreneurs to explore research ideas worth building and publishing together.
About this event:
We’re starting a small research-focused study group with a few engineers and entrepreneurs who want to spend the next few months exploring meaningful AI research topics together.
The idea is simple:
a small group of friends commits around 3–5 hours per week to study, brainstorm, and potentially work toward publishing a research paper that could be genuinely useful for the world.
This session is a brainstorming session to discuss possible directions, refine ideas, and see who may want to join the group more seriously.
Some of the early ideas we are exploring include:
- new tokenizer or embedding methods for LLM systems that could significantly improve performance, interpretability, or observability
- fine-tuned LLM systems that make data more decodable, understandable, and usable
- other promising AI research directions that are practical, ambitious, and worth investigating with a strong small team
This is not a formal lecture.
It’s a working conversation.
We’d love for people to come with:
- research ideas
- technical curiosity
- opinions on what problems are actually worth solving
- interest in collaborating with a small, thoughtful group over time
Who this is for:
- engineers
- researchers
- technical founders
- entrepreneurs
- AI Scholars friends who want to think seriously about impactful AI research
What we hope to do:
- brainstorm research directions
- identify a few promising topics
- discuss what would be realistic for a small group to pursue
- see whether there is a strong core group interested in working together over the next few months
If you’ve been wanting to do deeper AI research with smart, ambitious people — and potentially co-create something publishable — come join us.
