About Event

This collaborative event between SuperHuman Society and SF intellectuals invites you to join your fellow participants in conversation around the themes of AI and Language, and how these impact each other.

Our discussion will cover topics such as:

  • Meaning of Language: How does language get its meaning, and how does it evolve? What fundamentally changes whenever non-human entities become a part of this process?

  • Diversity of Language: How will multilingual AI contribute to the loss or preservation of language plurality, and what does it mean for globalization versus cultural diversity?

  • Power of Language: As AI agents become more common which take action in the world based on instructions: what are the benefits and limitations of using human language as the way we guide AI?

This is an in-person event. To facilitate smooth and cohesive conversations, we kindly ask attendees to arrive within the first 15 minutes of the event.

Superhuman Society aims to reimagine our relationship with technology, advocating for the intentional design of systems that enhance our human potential and dignity, rather than objectify or diminish us. Check out our manifesto!

SF Intellectuals is a discussion group dedicated to earnest inquiry and thoughtful exploration on subjects related to philosophy, culture, and technology. Past discussions have explored questions like: Is loneliness one of the biggest problems facing society? What does "freedom" imply, and are we ever truly "free"? Is marriage even a necessary institution in our society? See our other events on Meetup!
