About Event

Career transitions are deeply personal. Whether you're actively job searching, navigating a career reset after relocating, or simply trying to stay motivated through slow and uncertain change, the emotional weight can be just as heavy as the practical challenges.

This workshop is for the moments nobody talks about. The comparison spiral after another LinkedIn scroll, the exhaustion of showing up strong for your family while quietly carrying your own stress, the creeping doubt that asks whether your experience and background are really valued here.

In this session, Omek welcomes a long time community member and licensed psychologist, Nkemakonam Ijeh, to facilitate an honest, supportive conversation around building resilience through every career change and uncertainty — especially for bicultural professionals navigating systems not built with them in mind.

You'll leave with practical strategies to regulate your emotions during high-stress periods, reconnect with your sense of purpose, protect your energy and your relationships, and strengthen your mental wellness for the long road ahead, not just the next job.

Shaped by the voices of our community. Over 50 members shared what they were carrying, the isolation, the motivation loss, the burnout. We listened. This workshop is step towards more conversations.

Meet your facilitator 👋🏽
Nkemakonam Ijeh is a trauma-informed clinical and cross-cultural psychologist based in the Netherlands. Born and raised in Nigeria and shaped by life across several continents, she brings a deeply grounded, global perspective to her work on resilience, identity, and healing.

With academic training in both Counseling Psychology and Business Administration, Nkem bridges psychological insight with real-world understanding of the pressures people face in their personal and professional lives. She is the founder of Resilience Nest and the Dear Women of Culture Community, and also teaches cross-cultural psychology through a decolonized, culturally grounded lens.

Her work integrates evidence-based psychology, ancestral wisdom, and nervous system compassion. She believes healing must honor culture, and that true resilience begins when people are supported in reconnecting with themselves.
