CDR Site Visit, London Climate Action Week
Join us for a guided tour of a carbon capture pilot plant, a four-storey industrial facility in South Kensington used by leading research institutions and industrial organizations to develop and test the technology at the heart of BECCS and DACCS.
Led by Dr. Colin Hale, Senior Teaching Fellow in Chemical Engineering at Imperial, the tour covers how direct air capture and absorption-based carbon capture works in practice, a walk through the plant itself, and a live demonstration of the state-of-the-art ABB control room where every variable in the capture process is monitored and controlled in real time.
This is a working research facility. Expect real equipment, real data, and real answers.
Duration: ~1.5–2 hours
