CCCCO x Playlab AI PLC | Part 2
Part 2: Readiness to Certification Pathways
Join us for the next phase of the California Community Colleges’ systemwide AI learning journey.
Whether you joined us for Part I or are new to Playlab, this series is designed to meet you where you are and help you build with confidence.
Part I: Refresh & Readiness brought together 200+ faculty and staff to explore new Playlab features and identify needs across instruction, student services, and operational workflows. Part II builds on those insights with four targeted cohorts: Foundations, Advanced, Train-the-Trainer: Staff & Student Services, and Train-the-Trainer: Faculty.
🗓 Schedule
Mondays — December 1, December 8, and December 15
6:00–7:30 p.m.
🧩 Cohorts
Foundations: Building an AI Changemaker Chatbot (101 Level)
The Foundations cohort is designed for educators and staff who are new to Playlab and want a guided, hands-on introduction to building an AI Changemaker Chatbot. This classic “101” PLC experience will help you build confidence with using GenAI and enable you to create your first apps using human-centered design. Perfect for anyone starting their AI learning journey.
Advanced (201 Level)
The Advanced cohort is for participants who have completed the Foundations series (or the equivalent 101 PLC) and want to continue building their AI skills—but are not quite ready for the Train-the-Trainer pathway. We’ll dive into advanced prompting, memory, smart referencing, retrieval techniques, and more.
Train-the-Trainer Certification: Staff & Student Services Track
This cohort is designed for classified professionals and student-facing staff who completed Part I of the CCCCO PLC series (preferably those in the Leadership & Scaling or Advanced Integration cohorts). Tailored for counseling, financial aid, student services, and other non-instructional areas, this certification prepares participants to train colleagues and support campus-level AI adoption using Playlab.
Train-the-Trainer Certification: Faculty Track
This cohort is for faculty who completed the Part I of the CCCCO PLC series (preferably those in the Leadership & Scaling or Advanced Integration cohorts) and are ready to take the next step. Designed for instructors actively engaged in pedagogy, this certification prepares participants to train colleagues and support campus-level AI adoption using Playlab.
