Join a ceremonial Paddle Out in the bay, a tribute links last year’s urgent call to action to clean up the Tijuana River Crisis to our 2026 Call to Action to Condemn Off-Shore Drilling.
This Opening Ceremony for San Diego Climate Week will be one of connection and action.

4:00-4:15 PM | Sign in, find watercraft, suit up & Sign Making
4:15–4:30 PM Welcome & Action Briefing
4:30–4:50 PM Paddle Out, Prayer with the Ocean led by Red Earth Movement
4:50 –5:00 PM | Thank you & Showers, head to Summit
BYOB: Bring Your Own Board! A limited number of watercraft will be available for use, costs covered by our generous summit donors: Samuel Lawrence Foundation & WildCoast in partnership with Emerald Keepers. We encourage all those with boards, kayaks etc to bring your own!
A limited number of HazMat Suits will be available for those who would like to wear them.
