Ai Salon: Creative Expression [Bangalore]

​The nature of creative work is undergoing the greatest transformation we have ever experienced as a species. In entire domains, work that required teams of skilled artists can now be replaced with a single prompt.

​Visual artists, musicians, writers, video producers, all of these jobs stand poised at the brink of extinction, or perhaps evolution.

​Most of intuitively understand that the nature of good art isn't the objective measure of what it is, but the human story that went behind it. In some ways art has to persist by definition because of its innate humanness in some form.

​What does this mean for those that are engaged in creative pursuits currently. Surely there will be just as many who use these new tools to push the limits of what they can achieve as those who find themselves without employment.

​Also there is a alternate question here. AI will be able to produce work that perhaps exceeds anything a human can ever produce, and might be so poignant and expressive that we find ourselves in awe of its creative expression. Even if its methods are alien, the emotions it inspires are human. How does this fit into our conception of what art is or what it means to be an artist.
