Total Recall Is Overrated: What Agents Should Learn from How We Forget
Please join us as Adam Lupu presents his talk "Total Recall is Overrated: What Agents Should Learn from How We Forget".
We teach machines to remember the way we wish we could — perfectly, forever, on demand. But human memory isn’t a database. It’s lossy, associative, and shaped by emotion. This session explores what happens when we borrow from cognitive science to build agent memory systems: what translates, what breaks, and why the gaps between human and machine learning might be features, not bugs.
Location
This event is hosted in the Teamworking by TechNexus space. Upon arrival, guests can come directly to the 12th floor—no need to check in at the lobby. The reception team will be there to greet you and help guide you to your room.
Parking & Transportation
The Civic Opera Building does not have a dedicated parking lot. There is limited metered parking nearby. We recommend using iParkit or SpotHero to find discounted parking options. The CME Building (10 S. Wacker) is the nearest parking garage, with several additional garages located within a two-block radius.
The venue location is highly walkable and conveniently situated near multiple CTA train lines and bus stops, making it easy to access via public transportation.
