Nairobi | Claude Meetup Part 2
More than 570 people registered for the Claude Community Nairobi Meetup on Friday 16 October, far more than one afternoon at Hackhouse can hold. We are so thankful for this overwhelming response, so we are running the meetup twice and giving everyone a chance to attend.
Part 1 is on Friday 16 October, for everyone already approved.
Part 2 is on Tuesday 20 October, for everyone on the waiting list and anyone who cannot make Friday.
Part 2 is the same community with more practical sessions, where you build with Claude yourself.
What to expect
Which Claude model fits which job
A working app built live with Claude Code, starting from a blank folder
Short demos of what else Claude does well
A guided build: pick one of three starter briefs, ship one small thing, and show it at the end
Time to talk and meet others building with Claude
Who it is for
Developers, founders, students and anyone curious about Claude. First-timers are welcome. Developers will get the most from the build.
What to bring
A laptop and a charger, with Node installed. Bring a Claude account if you have one. If you don't, the helpers will get you set up.
When and where
Tuesday 20 October (Mashujaa Day), 2:00 to 7:00 pm.
Hackhouse Africa, 124 Manyani E Rd, Nairobi.
Free and in person. Registration needs approval, and you will get an email once you are approved. Already approved for Friday and can't make it? Cancel your Friday registration so someone else can take the place, then register here.
Learn with Claude. Don't outsource your thinking to it.
