Kenya has pain points everyone recognises and nobody has fixed. The queue at the counter that can't say what your health cover pays for. The broker who knows the market price before the farmer does. The CBC homework no parent was taught. The government service assembled from hearsay. The shop that's busy all week but can't see its own numbers.
For one night, a hundred builders take them on — with Claude.
HOW IT WORKS
Five tracks: Afya (Health), Kilimo (Agriculture), Elimu (Education), Huduma (Government Services), Biashara (Small Business). Each track carries one specific, named problem, announced at kickoff. Your team of 3 to 5 (aim for 4 or 5) picks a track and builds a working tool for a real Kenyan, using Claude Code.
At idea lock, every team completes one sentence:
"This helps ___, who today struggles with ___." No nameable beneficiary, no build.
THE NIGHT
Doors 5:00 pm. Kickoff 8:00. Build through the night — pizza at midnight, Red Bull on tap, coffee and mandazi till morning. Submissions close 3:15 am. Live demos from 3:30, three minutes each in front of a five-judge panel. Track winners and an overall champion crowned at 5:30. Everyone travels home at 6:00.
WHAT YOU GET
$100 in Claude API credits for every registered attendee, to build with on the night. Mentors on the floor until morning. The overall champion takes home a one-month 20x Claude plan. Free to attend.
WHAT TO BRING
A laptop, a charger, and a problem you care about.

Open to apply, capacity ~100. Registration is approval-based, and the application is long on purpose — your answers are the only thing we use to pick the room. Answer them fully.
