Bodies of Earth: Art, Climate & Connection is a therapeutic art circle inviting participants to explore their relationship with the climate through creative expression, embodied awareness, and shared reflection.
Bodies of Earth: Art, Climate & Connection is an experiential, facilitated art circle that invites participants to explore their relationship with the climate through the interconnectedness of mind, body and environment. Rather than approaching climate change only through information and discussion, the session will create a space for participants to slow down, notice, feel and express their experiences through multiple forms of creative expression.
The experience will weave together visual art-making, gentle movement, music, embodied awareness, reflection and group sharing. Participants will be provided with art-making materials and encouraged to work with eco-conscious and reusable materials wherever possible, including natural/earth-based pigments, found or recycled materials, paper, fabric and other low-waste resources. The intention is to explore creative practices that encourage connection and mindful consumption rather than immediate or disposable forms of engagement.
A comfortable, accessible physical space will be required to support both seated art-making and movement-based activities, with appropriate chairs, tables/floor seating, mats and basic session setup. Shared materials and consumables such as water, cleaning supplies and protective table coverings will support the art process while enabling responsible clean-up and reuse.
The gathering will close with collective reflection and simple refreshments, creating an informal space for participants to connect, nourish themselves and continue conversations around care for self, community and the planet.
