Assume Misalignment: AI Control

​Aryan Bhatt is a Member of Technical Staff at Redwood Research, where he leads the high-stakes AI control team. He studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Hunter College (CUNY) and attended the MATS (ML Alignment Theory Scholars) program in Winter 2023. His work focuses on AI safety, AI security, and AI control — developing techniques to prevent catastrophic failures from potentially misaligned AI systems. He is a co-author on several papers in this space, including work on agent control via resampling, and has contributed to Redwood's broader research agenda on control protocols.

Aryan will be speaking about AI Control, and their importance for technical AI Safety.
