Conversation: Power, Place, and AI
What Virginia's data center boom means for your community
Northern Virginia holds the largest concentration of data centers in the world, and it has become a preview of what AI's energy demand can mean for a community: rising electricity needs, debates over land use and water, questions about who pays, and real efforts to push toward clean energy. This conversation looks at what's happening there, what other regions can learn from it, and what role funders can play in shaping how we power the technology we're adopting.
