Workshop: How to Build AI Agents
Join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop exploring one of the most important shifts in modern software — AI Agents.
In this session, we’ll break down how software is evolving from static applications to autonomous systems that can reason, plan, and take actions using tools and memory. You’ll learn the core ideas behind AI agents, how they differ from traditional LLMs, and how they are being used in real-world systems today.
This workshop will be lead by Deepak Kamboj, Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, who brings 24+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and AI-driven automation. He has led large-scale AI and test automation systems, including enterprise-level Playwright infrastructure used across 50+ teams. His work focuses on AI agents, scalable automation, and building practical AI systems that improve developer productivity.
What you’ll learn
The evolution of software: v1.0 (rules) → v2.0 (ML) → v3.0 (AI agents)
What AI agents are and how they actually work
LLMs vs AI agents: key differences that matter in practice
Function calling, tool use, memory, and agent reasoning loops

Why attend
AI agents are quickly becoming the foundation of next-generation software. This workshop is designed to help you understand not just the theory, but how these systems are actually built and used in practice.
You’ll also get the chance to meet and interact with the speaker, ask questions, and gain insights from real-world industry experience.
At the end, you'll walk away with an AI Agent of your own!
