Portfolio Critique Workshop with Elizabeth Lin
Join Elizabeth for a live Portfolio Critique Workshop! There are two types of tickets for this event:
Roast me ($35): I'll spend 10-15 minutes critiquing your portfolio. You can choose a roast level: 🍬 Sugar coat everything ➡️ 🥜 Be as honest and direct as you want. Roast me spots are approval only. I will be reviewing portfolios before selecting the final 6.
General ($10): Too shy to get roasted? Join to learn from the portfolios getting roasted. You'll also learn practical tips for improving your portfolio during the workshop period of the event.
The schedule is as follows
1 hour: 6-8 portfolio roasts
30 minutes: Qualities of a strong portfolio (Workshop)
15 minutes: Q&A
15 minutes: Networking
Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

I’ve been coaching entry-level designers on their portfolios for more than 10 years! At this point, someone’s portfolio is almost always open in my browser waiting for a review.
👀 I’ve looked at lots of portfolios. I have looked at over 1,000 portfolios for internships, entry-level, and senior designer positions. I know the bar and who you are competing with.

😈 I have a high bar and will be honest. Designers are annoyingly particular and will notice the little details. They might get bothered by a font choice or a typo on your page. The portfolio guide shares the most common mistakes I see.
