ZID centers South Asian artists working beyond the expectations imposed by genre, identity, and cultural legibility. Against the pressure to perform heritage for others, artists come as themselves — not as products. Engaging tradition as something living, distorted, contested, and continually remade.
This event is presented as part of Chai Town Addas, a DCASE Neighborhood Grant–awarded program, that supports community-centered gatherings, learning, and creative engagement.
