About Event

Gen Z has skills. So why is the transition into real work still difficult?

A client case study: Linnify x GentrAIner

This unofficial SXSW EDU side event brings together product, technical, and education leaders for a practical conversation about workforce readiness and product responsibility.

While Gen Z graduates with more credentials and access to learning tools than ever before, many still struggle when entering their first real job. This raises an important question:

Are our systems designed to deliver knowledge, or to simulate real-world decision-making?

Together with GentrAIner, Linnify integrated agentic AI into a live product to simulate real workplace dynamics, including trade-offs, ambiguity, and consequences.

At this event, we’ll openly discuss:

  • Where the transition from learning to work breaks down

  • Why simpler AI approaches weren’t enough

  • How agentic AI was introduced into the product

  • What changed after launch, and what didn’t

  • Lessons learned from real implementation

Speakers

  • Aaron Meyers, CEO & Founder, GentrAIner

  • Russ Finney, Assistant Professor & Director of MIS Undergraduate Programs, UT Austin McCombs

  • Moderated by Cătălin Briciu, co-CEO & co-Founder, Linnify

Who should attend

  • CTOs, CPOs, Heads of Product

  • Technical leaders building AI-driven systems

  • Founders in EdTech, workforce, and SaaS

  • University and industry stakeholders interested in real-world readiness
