Join Austin Free-Net and a crew of like-minded people who care about digital equity, access, and closing the digital divide in Austin. Whether you’re deep in the work or just curious to learn more, this is a great chance to meet others who are passionate about making technology more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Austin Free-Net is a local nonprofit that has served Austin for more than 30 years, providing digital literacy training, technology support, and the tools people need to thrive online.

Most of the evening will be casual. Grab a drink, meet new people, and hang out! We’ll take a few minutes to share more about Austin Free-Net, watch a short client story, and talk about ways to get involved, whether that’s volunteering, supporting device donations, exploring board service, or simply learning more about digital equity in Austin.

6:10–6:15 PM | Ways to Get Involved
Learn about volunteering, device donations, workplace device drives, board service, and other ways to support digital equity in Austin.
6:15–7:00 PM | Happy Hour + Networking
Back to drinks, conversations, and connecting with each other!
💻 Have a laptop you’re no longer using?
Bring it with you! Donated laptops can be securely wiped, refurbished through the City of Austin Community PC Program, and provided to community members who need a device.
🏢 Does your employer have devices they’re retiring?
Let’s connect! Talk with Jasmin, Austin Free-Net’s Executive Director, about donating retired laptops or computers. Devices can be securely wiped, refurbished, and given back out to community members who need them.
Device donations are completely optional. Come with or without one!
