Pub Lecture: The intersection of art x technology x ai with Interactive Sculptures

​Join us to hear from artist Josh Whitkin, a 3D-games industry veteran with over 50 published titles for Nvidia, Disney, and Electronic Arts, and a PhD in Design. Josh presents his process and explains how his artist journey relates to his career in industry and academics.

​He shows an interactive kinetic sculptures that explore self and AI, including a demo of a work in progress: The Collector, a non-human intelligence in a worm-like body that collects colors from its environment to build its palette and trade with future others.

​He places our AI moment in history and makes the case for artistic inquiry, over startups or academic research, to explore it.
