Connecting Families Secondary Years: Emotional Well-Being
Connecting Families Secondary Years: Emotional Well-Being
Parents and carers of secondary school aged children – Join us for a session on Emotional Well-being
As we approach Children’s Mental Health Week (9–15 February), we’re inviting you to an online session hosted by our Family Support team. This session will help you, as parents and carers, understand how vision impairment can affect your child's emotional wellbeing and give you practical strategies to support them through the unique challenges they face.
This friendly and practical session will cover:
Understanding mental health and wellbeing in children and young people with a VI
Supporting VI young people to build confidence and resilience
Coping strategies for stress and anxiety
How RSBC can support families and children with their emotional wellbeing
What to expect:
A welcoming space to learn and ask questions
A chance to connect with other parents and carers
This session will take place online, and we’ll send you the Zoom details once you’ve registered for the event.
