Indie RND
Group indie research
“Study hard what interests you the most in the most undisciplined, irreverent and original manner possible.” - Richard Feynman
What to bring:
Research tools (laptop, notebook, Claude, etc.)
In this iteration of Indie RND, we’ll participate in a focused research session. Based on our research interests, we’ll divide into small groups and spend 1 hour to dive deep into a subject. The topic can be anything! Here are some examples for reference:
Augmenting human memory.
Malleable software.
SF housing policy.
Orchestrating coding agents.
After 1 hour of intensive research, we’ll present our findings and action items. For example:
My research topic was augmenting human memory. I’m going to incorporate my findings into my personal knowledge management system so that I can better remember important things.
We will then take 5-10 minutes to catalog our research into our open and shared knowledge base, which participants will continue to have access to beyond the session.
Session agenda:
15 min — Intros, get signed up.
60 min — Split up and begin activities.
30 min — Presentations; spend about 5 - 10 min each sharing.
15 min — Closing; gather feedback, get connected etc.
