AI in Product Design: Building Apps Users Love
Design Jam Season 2
A two-hour session exploring how AI fits into the product design process, from understanding customers and defining scope to creating polished experiences and preparing work for implementation.
Through case studies from Lucian’s practice, the session follows the workflows behind real products and client projects. Examples include Willy, an unconventional companion app being built in Godot, and a visual brand system with supporting assets created in approximately two hours.
The session explores how tools such as Granola, Notion, Mobbin, Figma, Paper and ChatGPT / Claude / Cursor fit together. Where AI helps accelerate the process, and how design judgment still shapes the result.
Topics include:
Turning customer research into insights, personas and user journeys
Translating user goals into features, priorities and a clear product scope
Breaking features into tasks, flows, screens and system states
Researching interaction patterns and complete flows with Mobbin
Creating and testing wireframes and prototypes
Developing visual guidelines, brand assets and polished interfaces
Moving between design and implementation
Preparing handoffs for engineering, product, design and creative teams
Expect real examples, workflow demonstrations and Q&A, with time to discuss how these approaches could apply to your own projects and organisation.
Designed for experienced product designers, UX practitioners, design leaders and those introducing AI into their teams. This is a case study and discussion session, not a beginner introduction or step-by-step build-along.
