​Tuomas Artman is the co-founder and CTO of Linear, the product development system that engineers actually want to use. He's been writing software for over 20 years, starting at 13, and has worked at every scale from consulting shops to Uber, where he spent five years as a senior staff engineer on the mobile platform. He left in 2019 to co-found Linear with Karri Saarinen (ex-Airbnb) and Jori Lallo (ex-Coinbase).

​Last year, Linear reached a $1.25B valuation with rapidly accelerating revenue growth and unusually little paid marketing spend. In a market full of tools that teams tolerate rather than choose, they took a different path: build something with real craft, ship it to the people doing the work, and let the product speak for itself.

​Tuomas is one of the clearest voices on why taste matters more in the AI era, not less. We'll get into how he thinks about building products, the Linear founding story, what's happening at the company now (including Linear for Agents), and his take on how AI is reshaping the tools engineers use every day.
