Agentic Engineering Lab: Book Club #1 — Uncle Bob & Matt Pocock on the fundamentals

​This is the first meeting of the Agentic Engineering Lab book club — a small, hour-long discussion group. It isn't a talk from me. Everyone comes having watched the same thing, and we get into it together.

​For our first one we're taking Matt Pocock's conversation with Uncle Bob (Robert C. Martin), Software Fundamentals in the Age of AI. It runs about an hour, so give yourself the time to watch it before Monday.

​How it works:

• ​Watch the video beforehand — that's the whole prep.

• ​Bring whatever it sparked: a point you pushed back on, something that made you rethink how you work, a place it collided with what you're building right now. Literally anything it inspired.

• ​We keep it to one hour and cap it at 16, though if past turnout is any guide about half that actually shows — so expect a room of eight or so, small enough for everyone to talk.
