Bittensor Unitour|Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

While AI models exist in isolation within tech giants, Bittensor has chosen a different path: using a decentralized protocol to connect the global AI intelligence and computing power into a network.

Now, this social experiment on the future of AI is coming to China.

The last stop of the China - tour Meetup & Unitour jointly launched by Bittensor and HackQuest - The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. We look forward to meeting you - the future builders, participants, and beneficiaries of this ecosystem - face - to - face, to explore how we can jointly shape a new paradigm of AI that is open, collaborative, and incentivized.

💎 Background

Join us for an exclusive session with Bittensor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), as the pioneering decentralized AI network brings its China Tour to Hong Kong. This event is a unique opportunity to explore the convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology with core team members from one of the most influential projects in the AI × Crypto space.

Bittensor, with a market capitalization of $7 billion USD, stands at the forefront of the "AI+Crypto" movement, representing the future of decentralized artificial intelligence. As the world's largest open-source Chinese language model inference provider, Bittensor is reshaping how AI models are trained, deployed, and monetized through decentralized infrastructure.

This session will provide HKUST students with direct access to industry pioneers, cutting-edge technical insights, and pathways to participate in the decentralized AI revolution.

🌟 Highlights

  1. Keynote from Bittensor Co-founder Jacob - Deep dive into the future of decentralized AI and the AI × Crypto convergence

  2. Special address by HackQuest Co-founder Kevin - Market insights and opportunities in the Web3 developer education.

  3. Decentralized Compute Aggregation - Learn how distributed computing infrastructure empowers AI enterprises globally

  4. Student Pathways & Opportunities - Practical guidance on entering the field, learning resources, and contributing to the Bittensor ecosystem

  5. Exclusive Bittensor Swag - Limited edition merchandise (stickers, tote bags) for active participants

🎙 About Bittensor:

Bittensor is an open and permissionless protocol for digital goods production. Its core innovation lies in the “Yuma Consensus” (YC for short). This consensus mechanism enables the application of Bitcoin mining primitives to a much wider range of tasks.

Crucially, the Yuma Consensus (YC) can verify and rate outputs that are inherently subjective, such as the quality of outputs from large language models (LLMs). The Bitcoin network incentivizes distributed participants, aggregating computing power far beyond that of any corporation at an extremely low cost. Bittensor is extending this core principle of “incentivized computing” to the fields of AI and all other digital goods.

Currently, 128 projects are operating within the Bittensor ecosystem, reaching the forefront of the industry in the following areas:

  • Decentralized computing power aggregation

  • Model pre - training, fine - tuning, and reinforcement learning

  • Robotics, computer vision

  • Prediction markets, drug discovery, 3D asset generation

  • ……
