Natural Dyeing with Cochinilla Workshop

​In this natural dye workshop, we'll learn the traditional art of dyeing with cochinilla, a natural dye made from the cochineal insect. Together, we’ll explore techniques to transform this vibrant red into your own unique artwork. All materials are provided, and the workshop is open to all skill levels. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece to take home, along with a deeper appreciation of this ancestral craft.

​Taty and Briseida are Zapotecas whose creative practices center plants, food, and earth — Briseida as the owner of Viva Café, a Oaxacan inspired cafe, and Taty as the founder of Lumbre Ceramics Studio— both dedicated to creating spaces to learn and carry forward traditional practices.
