Cherry Swayne is a recruiter and the founder of Above & Beyond Recruitment, where they specialise in supporting climate tech startups to grow passionate teams, to solve the climate crisis. Cherry is also an angel investor to female-founded climate companies and is a domain expert for the Carbon13 venture builder.
After 15+ years in tech recruitment, Cherry founded Above & Beyond in 2021, to play her part in plugging the green skills gap and home in on her passion for sustainability. She spoke at Reset Connect in 2024, is the host of the Climate Pioneers Show podcast and LinkedIn Live series, and hosts events for jobseekers (Climate Career Conversations) and climate founders (Climate Tech Pioneers).
Along with finding the best talent to save the planet, Cherry is keen to dispel the myth that you need a specialist or scientific background to move into the climate sector, and she’s passionate about tackling the lack of gender diversity in funding for startups.
