Double Diamond - NYC's favorite live design podcast and event series - is BACK for the premiere event of our second season.
After a wildly successful Season 1, get ready for a bigger, better Season 2 premiere ft. Sebastian Speier, John Bai, and Kelin Zhang. Each of them will come up and present some recent work and thinking, and afterwards we'll keep the party going in classic Double Diamond fashion.
The Lineup
Sebastian Speier, Head of Design at Perplexity
Sebastian came up through consumer craft at Nike SNKRS, Instagram, Airbnb, and the Shop App at Shopify. He's now building the design team at Perplexity and developing Computer.
John is the first design hire in New York, after Plaid, Brex, and the Rider App at Lyft. He has been inside Grok Bot, the always-on agent that launched in early beta on August 11, where each Bot gets its own cloud computer, signs into real tools, and finishes work in the app. Right now he's using Grok Bot to design Grok Bot.
Kelin Zhang, Independent designer and educator
Kelin left software to make hardware after years at places like ueno and Twitter. She spent months on the ground in China developing physical product, and she's the person behind Poetry Camera, the AI camera that prints poems, featured in Anthropic's Keep Thinking campaign. She's now developing Moonstone Lamp.

Every Double Diamond audience is intentionally curated. We're prioritizing product builders and design leaders who are actively building for and with intelligence. If you're designing products at the frontier of human<>intelligence interaction, or building with agents and emerging tools, you're likely a good fit.
