Germany produces world-class research and comparatively few spin-offs. IP terms, founder roles and the first money decide whether an invention leaves the lab or stays in a paper.
On the table:
• Which IP and licence terms kill a spin-off before it starts?
• Should the professor be a founder, an advisor or neither?
• What do Startup Factories change, and what not?
