Batteries Without the Hype: An Insider’s Guide for Investors
Batteries sit at the center of the energy transition, but they're a challenging domain for investors.
Please join us as we kick off the week together! In this talk, we'll hear an insider’s perspective on what it actually takes to scale new battery tech. Joe Miler, PhD has built batteries at Apple, Lucid, and two Khosla-backed startups and has evaluated hundreds of battery technologies. He will share how he evaluates early-stage battery startups, what metrics actually matter, and what challenges face different battery technology biz models.
There will also be ample time for Q&A, group discussion, and of course casual chats over some drinks and light snacks.
Special thanks to our hosts, The Ground, for providing the venue space.
