Design your own Ceramic Tools using 3D printing!

​Curious about bringing digital design into your ceramic practice? This beginner-friendly workshop introduces the fundamentals of 3D modeling through the creation of custom tools for clay. Using Fusion 360, participants will learn how to navigate a 3D workspace, create sketches, build simple forms, and prepare designs for 3D printing.

​The class will focus on designing either a custom pattern stamp for creating surface textures or a simple press mold for forming clay. Along the way, we'll explore how digital fabrication can expand traditional ceramic processes and open new possibilities for making.

​No prior experience with 3D modeling is required. Participants must bring a laptop capable of running Fusion 360, as all design work will be completed during the workshop.

​By the end of the session, you'll leave with a digital design ready for 3D printing and a foundation for incorporating digital tools into your ceramic practice.
