​🤓 About the Expert!

​David R. Hill is executive vice president of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Energy Program in Washington, DC. He also currently serves as vice chairman of the board of directors of the New York Independent System Operator, Inc. Hill’s prior positions include general counsel of the U.S. Department of Energy under then-President George W. Bush; partner and co-head of the energy practice at Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, DC; and executive vice president and general counsel of NRG Energy, Inc. and NRG Yield, Inc. Early in his career, Hill was associate counsel to the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture.
