

Cursor Calgary Hackathon - SAIT
Join us for a 24-hour hackathon at SAIT built around one clear challenge: teams will receive a single fixed prompt from organizers and spend the weekend building their creative solution using Cursor, with credits provided.
This is designed as a high-energy, practical build event focused on shipping something real in a short time. Teams of 3–4 will work through the same challenge framework, then finalists will present their projects on Sunday during the judging and demo block.
What to expect
Saturday kickoff, prompt briefing, and official build start
24 hour building period
Sunday submission deadline, final demos, and awards
Clear judging criteria focused on problem relevance, execution, product quality, and meaningful use of Cursor
Prize pool
$1,000 USD in Cursor credits will be distributed across 3 winning teams.
Tentative format
Saturday: check-in, welcome, prompt briefing, rules, team formation, build period
Sunday: submission cutoff, screening round, finalist demos, judging, awards, and closing
Recommended audience
This is currently planned as a student-focused event, subject to final confirmation with campus organizers on eligibility and capacity.
