National AI Builder Programme 2026
Vibe Coding Workshop and Competition
They've never written a line of code in their life. By 5pm, they'll have built a real, working app.
That's what happens at the National AI Builder Programme and we're bringing it to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor for the first time, now open to private schools.
This isn't a talk about AI. It's not a lecture or a demo day. It's a full day where your students actually make something together, from scratch, using AI as their creative tool. Every team leaves with a working product they can genuinely be proud of.
We've seen students surprise themselves. We've seen teachers forget they were there as supervisors because they got too caught up building. That's the kind of day we're creating.
What happens on the day?
Your team arrives at 9am. By 5pm, they've shipped a real app.
In between, our facilitators walk every team through the full journey from a blank page to a working product. Students learn to direct AI, make decisions, solve problems, and build something that actually does something useful. No coding. No prior experience. Just guided creativity and a whole lot of momentum.
It moves fast. It's loud. It's collaborative. And students leave feeling like they can do things they didn't think were possible before.
But wait, it doesn't stop there.
The workshop is just the beginning. Here's what comes next:
🗓 28 June — The virtual competition kicks off. Challenge themes drop and teams have weeks to build and refine their best work from home.
🗓 11 August — Submissions close. Teams publish their final app and submit a short video pitch (max 5 minutes) explaining what they built and why it matters.
🏆 26 September — Grand Finals at UOB Building Plaza 1, Kuala Lumpur. The best teams from across Malaysia compete on a national stage, in front of judges, for prizes and recognition that actually means something on a student's record.
Who is this for?
Students aged 13 to 17 who are curious, competitive, or just ready to try something new.
Teams of 4 from the same private school in KL or Selangor
One teacher-in-charge who joins the team for the full day. Yes, teachers build too, and honestly? They love it
No coding background. No tech experience. Just the willingness to show up and try.
What does RM150 cover?
Everything your team needs on the day — full workshop facilitation, meals and refreshments, learning materials, and a participation certificate for every team member. One flat fee, no hidden extras.
One thing to do before the day
After you register, the teacher-in-charge will receive a link to a short pre-recorded online briefing. It's compulsory and honestly, pretty motivating. Watch it on your own time before 13 June and you'll know exactly what to expect and the purpose and intention behind this competition.
Policies:
All registration fees are non-refundable.
Registration deadline is 20 May 2026
