WOMEN WHO WERKKK LAUNCH 2026
We’re celebrating this year’s Women Who Werkkk list, spotlighting 66 Black female creatives shaping the future of the industry, at the official Women Who Werkkk 2026 launch.
Hosted by HumanThreadsss in the heart of Shoreditch, the evening brings together creatives, founders, industry leaders and allies for a night centred on recognition, conversation and connection.
Women Who Werkkk exists to celebrate the women already doing the work while creating more visible pathways for those coming up next. Each year the list highlights 66 Black women across the creative industries, from emerging voices to established professionals shaping culture right now.
Panel Conversation
Power, Proximity and Passing It On
The centrepiece of the evening is a panel discussion exploring this year’s theme Give to Gain.
Across the creative industries, access often comes down to who holds decision-making power and who is close enough to the room where opportunities happen.
This conversation looks at:
• Where real power sits in the industry
• How proximity shapes opportunity, visibility and career progression
• What it actually means to pass access on once you’re in a position to do so
Our panellists will share honest reflections from their own journeys navigating the industry, the responsibilities that come with influence, and how individuals and organisations can help create pathways that are more sustainable and more equitable for the next generation.
Whether you’re just starting out or already established in your career, the discussion offers insight into how opportunities are created, shared and sustained.
Panellists: To be announced
The Night
After the panel conversation, the evening shifts into celebration.
DJ sets will soundtrack the rest of the night, creating space for guests to connect, catch up and celebrate the women featured on this year’s list.
While Women Who Werkkk centres Black women, the event is open by design. Allies are welcome and encouraged. The goal is simple: bringing the right people into the same room so real relationships and opportunities can form.
