Welcome back from spring break!
Today we'll be hosting Helen Zhang, CEO of Coffee Elf, an award-winning biotech startup scaling the 1st spent coffee grounds (SCG) biorefinery in the US into consumer merchandise and cosmetics. They've met support from Science Inc., The NewLab, Columbia Startup Lab, and IndieBio P0.
Helen will bring one of Coffee Elf's products, tell the story of Coffee Elf, and talk about the R&D processes involved in developing her products and upholding sustainable business models.
We'll also do quick student demos with live feedback from Helen in the room - biotech and clean tech founders are especially encouraged to demo!
