Ottawa Responsible AI Talks
Artificial intelligence is reshaping how we live, work, and interact with public institutions — but too often, the people most affected are excluded from the conversation.
The Ottawa Responsible AI Talks (ORAT) is a quarterly public event hosted by the Ottawa Responsible AI Hub (ORAH), designed to bring community voices, real-world experience, and innovative thinking to the forefront of AI conversations.
Join us for our inaugural session on Thursday, September 4, 2025, where we’ll explore how responsible AI is being practiced locally — highlighting lived experiences, grassroots initiatives, and creative solutions in areas like healthcare, education, employment, housing, and digital rights.
Through inspiring talks, storytelling, and an engaging panel discussion, we’ll look at how Ottawa’s diverse communities are shaping AI that reflects democratic values, equity, and the public good.
Whether you’re a technologist, policymaker, student, advocate, or simply curious about AI, this event is for you.
