COVEN eARTh Artist Dinner
To kick off summer, COVEN is co-hosting an eARTh Artist Dinner party with our friend Liz Sheehan. The founder of the Valerian Fund and Project Dandelion, Liz is opening her Marin home overlooking Richardson Bay for an evening unlike any other.
This gathering brings together arts patrons, wisdom keepers, scientists, technologists, and changemakers to honor and support women, BIPOC, and immigrant artists whose work explores sustainability and cultural identity.
Emerging and established artists from around the Bay Area will speak, perform, and display their work in an intimate setting at sunset over drinks and dinner.
The 3 featured artists speaking are:
Jen Reed — Louisiana-born sculptor and sustainability advocate transforming food waste into immersive public art that inspires environmental stewardship, play, and community connection.
Zulu Heru — Industrial artist and metal sculptor reclaiming the cultural legacy of the African diaspora through monumental works crafted from salvaged materials and ancestral symbolism.
Favianna Rodriguez Giannoni — Interdisciplinary artist and cultural strategist in Oakland whose globally recognized work bridges climate justice, migration, racial equity, healing, and cultural power.
Meisje Griffiths will be exhibiting new work, with prints for sale, and Joanna Ayala will close the evening with a sunset sound activation.
COVEN is awarding $200-$300 honorariums to all artists who are sharing their stories and gifts with us.
Please make a $50 donation to support COVEN's work and our artists! If you are in a position to give more, we welcome it. COVEN is raising $250K for ARTivism, artist grants, and more.
