Cheers & New Chapters | Thread Anniversary Happy Hour
One year ago, The Thread started with a small meetup of women in tech during Web Summit Vancouver 2025.
Since then, we have grown into a community of 500+ local women in tech and beyond. With 45 in-person events, from brunches and walks to workshops and skill-building sessions, we have intentionally chosen to show up, support one another, and create more belonging across this city.
To celebrate our first anniversary, we are gathering for a Friday night happy hour at Karma Lounge in downtown Vancouver.
Come raise a glass with women in tech and beyond and celebrate how far this community has come in just one year.
Expect cocktails, good music, and maybe even dusting off your dancing shoes later in the evening.
Original members, new members, and women discovering The Thread for the first time are all welcome.

By registering, you commit to honoring your word and showing up in person.
A lot of care goes into planning every Thread event. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows impact hosts, venue partners, and the quality of our gatherings.
If you cannot attend, please cancel at least 48 hours in advance so another person can take your spot. No-shows are tracked to protect the quality of the experience. Thank you for helping us raise the standard of in-person meetups.

Thread recognition pins will be available at the event. Wear it to spot and recognize other Thread women at tech events across Vancouver.
Limited run. Magnetic back so it won’t damage clothing. Pins are $10, payable by cash or e-transfer.
