What is the event about?

Organised by the University of Namur and the City of Namur via our very own Pact Ambassador Natéo.

The event aims to create an open and inspiring space for reflection and discussion on the role of youth and education in addressing climate challenges and climate justice.

The programme will include a panel discussion, a Q&A session, and a networking reception with interactive booths, bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds, including students, academic staff, city officials, and engaged citizens.

Introduction of ELSA Namur by Elaia Pollak, President of ELSA Namur

Panel moderated by myself (Natéo Carnot), composed of:

- Amélie Lachapelle: Professor of environmental law and sustainable development project manager at Unamur

- Damien Foguenne: Head of the Air-Climate-Energy department for the city of Namur and climatologist

- Louis Louvet: Former youth delegate to the COP Climate Conference and political advisor

- Jean-Pascal Van Ypersele: Founder of the Walloon Climate Platform, former Vice-President of the IPCC

- Charlize Delafaille and Alice Godinho: members of FUCID (student NGO in Namur)

Then a conclusion by Cécile Neven, Walloon Minister for Energy, Housing and Climate

Finally, a question and answer session with the audience

⚠️The event will be held in French.

What is the EU Climate Pact's role?

During the networking reception, The Pact will set up an interactive Pact Booth hosted by Ambassadors, focused on inspiring students to take climate action and reflect on climate (in)justice.
