Welcome to the Electrocene - BERC Energy Summit
On April 20th and 22nd, the Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative (BERC) invites you to join us as we explore a whole new era: the Electrocene.
Electricity and energy systems will define the next few decades as profoundly as human activity defined the Anthropocene. The Anthropocene asked what humans have done to the planet. The Electrocene asks a tougher question: what will we do next? In this era, energy isn't just infrastructure - it's everything.
Day 1 (Monday 04/20) of BERC’s 19th Annual Energy Summit offers hands-on workshops on how our current system works and how it's changing. Convening practitioners across the energy space, our workshops will cover PPAs in Practice, Interconnection, Project Finance, and Data Center Deployment - hosted by representatives from Clearway, White Pine, Microsoft, and Antora.
Day 2 (Wednesday 04/22) will host keynotes, panels and fireside chats featuring an emerging tech power hour! With keynotes from David Hochschild (CA Energy Commission), Sarah Jewett (Fervo Energy), and Gerard Reid (Redefining Energy & Alexa Capital) as well as panelists from California Forward, Building Better Data Centers, Piq Energy, CPUC, Voltus, LBNL, TPG Rise Climate, Antora, and more!
For our full agenda, please see our website. Lunch and refreshments will be provided both days.
Early Bird pricing valid through March 31st!
This event is sponsored by PG&E, EDF, Wilson Sonsini, LBNL, Southern California Edison, CalCCA, Bakar Labs for Energy & Materials, Norton Rose Fulbright, and Interamerican Clean Energy Institute.
