Poker Night 4 Founders

​A curated poker night of London founders, hosted by Expedite, the law firm for founders, at our own offices. We read every signup ourselves and seat the tables by hand. To get a spot, you need to be a founder or an operator in the startup ecosystem. In short: you build, you play.

​The Contract. This is a law firm's poker night, so entry is governed by a contract. You sign it at the door. It has exactly three clauses:

​Clause 1. The only raise you make tonight happens at the table. No pitching, no fundraising, no "quick demo" between hands. Breach of this clause is punishable by shuffling duty.

​Clause 2. The chips are on us. No buy-in, no rebuys, no rake. Everyone sits down with the same stack, and losing it costs you nothing but pride. We are a law firm; we structured it that way on purpose.

​Clause 3. The Expedite Ranking is forever. Points for every finishing position, a leaderboard on the wall, and your standing carries to the next Expedite night, whatever the game. The last player holding chips is wired £100. Lawyers don't do cash in envelopes; bring your sort code.

​Never played? Texas Hold'em was designed for people who never played. The rules take five minutes, you learn by folding, and beginners have a suspicious habit of winning these things.
