VR Workplace Ready Studio (Fall 2025 Cohort)
Program Duration: November 7 - 13, 2025
💪 Workplace success today demands more than technical expertise. It requires adaptability, digital fluency, emotional intelligence, interview and public speaking skills and confidence in navigating an evolving job market.
Through Virtual Reality simulations, AI-powered tools, and expert-led workshops, participants will learn how to communicate ideas, solve transport and energy related problems, improve their interview skills and pitch their solutions with confidence, preparing them for success in both entrepreneurship and employment.
This engaging experience blends career readiness training, problem-solving, and VR pitching practice to help participants master real-world communication and innovative thinking in a collaborative environment, driven by effective AI reports and interactions! Students put their learning and skills to the test in an exciting Interview and Pitch Gala, where they gain powerful insights from our industry partner Fleet Zero and have a chance to win awards!
Fleet Zero is a Toronto-based firm accelerating fleet decarbonization through turnkey solutions. From advisory and planning to infrastructure deployment, energy management, and data-driven optimization.
They partner with transit agencies, municipalities, logistics companies, and utilities to electrify fleets strategically and cost-effectively. With offices in Toronto, New York, and Dubai, Fleet Zero supports thousands of fleet assets, including battery-electric and hydrogen vehicles, and operates GarageZero, their maintenance and safety product division.
Across four dynamic modules, participants will:
Master the 5 C’s of Workplace Resilience: Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Cultural Intelligence
Learn how to leverage AI for job searches, resume optimization, and interview success
Practice essential workplace skills in VR-powered simulations
Build confidence through real-life scenario training, including interviews, leadership conversations, and team collaboration
Upon completion, students will earn a Centennial College Certificate in VR Workplace Readiness and gain access to mentorship support for career development.

Begin your journey in the VR Workplace Ready Studio with a program overview and introduction to the Virtual Speech platform. You’ll explore the key frameworks to give you an advantage in today's work sector, the Public Speaking Mastery course, review interview and other virtual environments, problem-solving in urban development (transportation and energy) and start developing the confidence and communication skills needed to deliver a compelling pitch or interview.

Get ready to elevate your interview, problem-solving and workplace ready skills! In this session, we’ll fine-tune your VR setup, troubleshoot any issues and review the program schedule in detail. We'll test your introductory frameworks knowledge, problem-solving and interview skills. You’ll also receive an overview of what to expect during In-Person VR Day 1, ensuring you’re confident and fully prepared for the immersive experience ahead.

Step into the virtual spotlight! In this session, you’ll develop the 5 C’s of Workplace Readiness. From creativity to communication, while practicing in realistic VR speech and interview simulations. You’ll tackle problem-solving challenges inspired by real-world transportation and energy scenarios, helping you grow confidence, teamwork, and professional readiness in a supportive, high-energy environment. You'll prepare for your Interview and Pitching gala with our COIE Judges and industry partner Fleet Zero.

📅 Thursday, November 13 | 🕐 1:00 – 3:00 pm
📍 Centennial College Progress Campus (Room L1-02)
In this high-impact closing session, participants will put their skills to the test through live interview simulations and real-world problem-solving challenges focused on transportation and energy innovation. Working in teams, students will present their ideas and solutions to Fleet Zero, a global leader in fleet decarbonization and sustainability. The session culminates in an Industry Pitch Gala, where participants demonstrate their communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills before guest judges, gaining valuable feedback, recognition, and potential mentorship opportunities. Awards will be given to the best Interviews and Pitch Scenarios! Good luck!
