Creaturely Circles: Uncomfortable Questions in Unstable Times - II
This Creaturely Circle is the second of a multi-part gathering series, guided by questions suggested by Nate Hagens. The times we live in are filled with difficult questions, that as he says, are not exactly answerable but are also not rhetorical.
Questions that, for example, ask us to think about
Stability vs. Growth,
Virtue vs. Effectiveness,
Where we assign blame, and how this affects our agency,
Where our roles and responsibilities towards society and the biosphere might begin and end.
While these are not questions that are meant to have clean answers, they are important because they can clarify what we value, what we depend on, and what or who we may need to become in the not-so-distant future.
While it is not necessary, if you’d like to think about some of these questions – they will be from episodes 125 and 131 of the podcast, The Great Simplification.
If you see yourself as
-Someone that wants to be in service of the web of life,
-Someone not interested in false hope and easy answers, and interested in facing the truth and asking the right questions
We would love to have you at this gathering that is free and open to participate in!
After the gathering, participants are warmly invited to stay on for what follows at 4:30 pm - a visit to the Swacha Graha Kalika Kendra - where we get to speak, meet and interact with a group of incredibly determined women that made the Kendra possible - Women of Wisdom - a local community group that has been doing meaningful grassroots work for over the past eight years.
