ClickHouse & Trigger.dev Virtual Summer Hackathon 2026
Website: https://triggerdev.clickhouse.com/
One week. One theme. Build something real.
We're running our first ever virtual hackathon — co-hosted by ClickHouse and Trigger.dev, open to professional developers across NAMER and EMEA. No fluff, no filler. Just a week to ship a production-quality AI agent chat experience using two of the best developer tools in the stack.
The theme
Build a chat agent that changes how people interact with information. Trigger.dev handles the orchestration and background jobs. ClickHouse powers the real-time data layer underneath. Both are required — that's the point. You'll get free cloud credits for both platforms the moment you're accepted.
What you're building for
A jury of 10–15 judges will score all submissions across six criteria: use of ClickHouse & Trigger.dev (25%), problem fit (20%), technical implementation (20%), innovation (20%), scalability & impact (10%), and presentation (5%).
Prizes — EUR 10,000 total pool
🥇 Grand prize — Ultimate desk setup bundle (iMac, iPad Air, AirPod Max, Apple Watch accessories) + 2K ClickHouse Cloud credits + Trigger.dev credits
🥈 Runner-up — Dev bundle (MacBook Air, AirPods Pro, accessories) + 1K ClickHouse Cloud credits + Trigger.dev credits
⭐ Bonus category (best OLTP + OLAP integration) — Lego set of your choice + 500 ClickHouse Cloud credits + Trigger.dev credits
🎉 Social raffle — A co-branded ClickHouse × Trigger.dev swag box, open to all registered participants

Who can apply
Professional developers aged 18+, based in the US, Canada, UK, or an EU country. Solo or teams of up to 5. This is an application-based event — we're looking for builders who have shipped real things and can work independently with minimal hand-holding. ClickHouse and Trigger.dev employees are not eligible.
Teams need to submit together under one captain!
The rules in brief
Your submission needs a public GitHub repo or in a cloud enviorment, a demo video on YouTube (max 5 minutes), and meaningful use of both ClickHouse and Trigger.dev. All code must be written during the build window. AI coding assistants, Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT — are explicitly permitted and encouraged.
Interested in judging?
We're assembling a panel of 10–15 technical judges for the ClickHouse & Trigger.dev Virtual Summer Hackathon. If you're an experienced developer, engineer, or technical practitioner with a background in AI, data engineering, or developer tooling, we'd love to have you involved.
Judging is fully async and remote. Time commitment is approximately 1–3 hours between July 23–27. You'll review submissions independently using a structured rubric and score across six criteria covering technical implementation, innovation, use of ClickHouse and Trigger.dev, and more.
We're looking for judges who can evaluate production-quality code objectively and have no conflicts of interest with participating teams.
