A listening party is exactly what it sounds like: a room full of people, an album playing from start to finish, and nothing else competing for your attention.
No DJ, no phones. A little quiet conversation is fine. Just the music, heard the way it was meant to be heard.
We're bringing the format to Warsaw Creative Club.
The art of listening to an album in full is dead. Streaming killed the tracklist, the algorithm killed the sequence, and shuffle killed the arc.
Most records now exist as a collection of individual songs, skipped through, half-heard, playing in the background while you do something else. We think that's a shame.
For Edition 2, the record is Currents by Tame Impala. A breakup album disguised as a psychedelic disco record, it's about change, loss of self, and the strange relief of becoming someone new.
Kevin Parker made it almost entirely alone, and somehow it sounds like the inside of a mind unravelling and reorganising in real time.
It deserves to be heard properly.
The setting is intentional. A sleek, modern space.
Comfortable seating, with room to stand if that's where the music takes you. Good wine, the sun going down.
We'll listen to Side A together, then take a break to breathe, talk, refill your glass. Then Side B. Then the evening is yours.
