Carbon Removal Policy Briefing Lunch — London Climate Action Week
Event Overview:
Two of the most significant policy developments in carbon removal are being publicly launched on 22 June: the SBTi’s new Net Zero Standard and the ISO Net Zero Aligned Organisation Standard draft (which opens then for public consultation). Both look set to require mandatory corporate removals targets within the next few years. This lunch is designed to help answer three key questions: what do the standards say, what does it mean, and what should you actually be doing when?
On Tuesday 23 June, join CUR8 and our sister organisation Rethinking Removals for an invitation-only briefing lunch. We will hear from the people who played a major role in shaping these standards, and held the pen on the ISO removals requirements, to explain what's changed, what it means, and what your organisation should do next.
This session is a briefing for decision-makers, focused on the commonalities between the standards, the no-regrets position on removals strategy, and the actions companies should be taking now.
Hosts:
Gabrielle Walker, Co-Founder & Chief Scientist, CUR8 / Co-Founder, Rethinking Removals
Delia Meth-Cohn, Co-Founder, Rethinking Removals
Kaya Axelsson, Policy Fellow, Oxford Net Zero
