About Cambridge Blockchain Society
Cambridge Blockchain Society (CBS) is a student-run society at the University of Cambridge, formally founded in 2018, with a community of students, researchers and alumni across the University. The society works as a bridge between academic research and industry practice. Its initiatives include research run through the Cambridge Frontier Technologies Lab, a student-managed fund launched with DormDAO, and a programme of events convened with leading partners across the sector, with past speakers including Gavin Wood, Justin Drake, Eli Ben-Sasson, and Stani Kulechov. Oxford Blockchain Society was founded in 2016, making it one of the first and longest-running blockchain societies in the UK. Since then we have grown into a vibrant and active community of blockchain enthusiasts, with members from across Oxford University and beyond.
