Workshop: The Fundamentals of Agents

​A workshop hosted by Hamza Mostafa.

​In this workshop, we'll cover Hamza's experience interning at OpenAI and building the ChatGPT Agent, 0 to 1 with a small team.

​Hamza will cover,

• ​His learnings from the experience, what mistakes they made with Agent vs Deep Research/Operator, what went well and what didn't go well

• ​A quick overview of the Agentic AI market; who are the winners, what typically performs well, building in the infra layer of AI agents vs building agents themselves (and what this usually looks like)

• ​A lecture on AI agents (what they are, demystification, misconceptions), as well as an exploration of how you can build your own agents with examples ranging from beginner (very fresh, no coding experience needed), to intermediate (a bit less abstraction), to advanced levels (what it takes to build a SOTA agent)

• ​A hands-on application, providing a shared repo with everyone so they can try to build their own agent at their desired experience level
